Here goes ...
2007 SRT-8 Charger: 180* T-stat and AFE Stage2
When I got my Pred. it came with r14 .. car ran well.
Updated to 16a ... seemed even better
Updated to 17 ... felt terrible, would bang into gears, hold gears too long when it should shift down, not as "strong", etc
Downgraded back to 16a ... feels pretty good again but still not as strong as it used to be -- might just be me getting way too comfy with power levels.
Through all of this I was having issues with hitting the rev limiter between shifts. I tried raising rev limiters both with and without raised shift points and still nothing solved it. EVIC was showing some shifts in the 6700 rpm range!
Last night I didnt let the car warm up since I just wanted to get home and my coolant temp CEL came on -- ok no biggie, ill fix it when I get home, 75 miles later.
Well needless to say I left the CEL on (for now). She has never felt stronger! The hitting the rev limiter has gone away, she pulls HARD, almost stepped out when flooring it from 60 mph!
Could this just be due to the added fuel being dumped in with the CEL on?
EDIT: Also, what tire size is programmed into the "stock" tune as the SRT8s have different sized tires depending on which you got (F1s or RSAs)
CEL turned ON -- BEST PERFORMANCE YET!!!

The CEL is not adding any fuel.
Do you even know what the code is?
The tire size is in the PCM, and it knows what it was when it reads the stock file.
Thanks

So unlike every other car ive owned, that when the CEL came on the PCM went into closed loop and added additional fuel ... this one doesnt?
Its the Low Temp Thermostat code that went off
And the factory programs the PCM based on what tire option you choose?

NO CEL will cause extra fuel to be added.
Not sure what you've been driving, but that is not the case.
Only time I've ever seen a code cause closed loop operation is EGR related codes on a GM, not even sure if it is the same for DCX.
The low temp t-stat code would certainly not cause any fueling issues, at all.

Do you think they use a different setting from the factory?
