Troubles With Upshifting

Post by schzjoe »

So, with one exception, I have thoroughly enjoyed the effects that the i2 has had on my 2012 F150 Ecoboost... I have tried the 87 tune, the MPG tune, and the 91 tune all with the appropriate fuels for the tune and all have troubles with upshifting at anything greater than 3/4 throttle. I will either get a no shift scenario at high RPMs or it wont shift at all and just hit the rev limiter and stay in the gear and stutter until I let off the throttle. Neither of these scenarios happen with the stock tune, but always happen with the Diablo tunes. Has anyone else see an issue like this? I will also add that I did replace the spark plugs prior to buying the tuner with the proper Motorcraft plugs and the appropriate gap.

can you record a log of this issue and post it here along with the tune files from the i2 drive?

Thanks

Well, I very much appreciate the prompt response! Ultimately I found and fixed the problem since the initial post. I loaded the tune with the default axle ratio (3.55). My truck has the off road package with the 3.73 axle. Changing the ratio in the tune solved the issue. Again, thank you for your help!
