I'm having a weird issue with my tune. I have the diablo tune installed with the trans tune on hard, tm off and speed limiter off, speedo calibrated for tire size, otherwise no tune changes. In drive the truck runs great. If I press tow/haul button it all goes down hill. The trans goes crazy, under light throttle or coasting it continues to down shift until it is just driving along at 4-5k+ but then it will not upshift on its own. I can run at redine at 30mph. I have to shut tow off for it to shift.
It has done this since installed (about 1 year) Monday I ran an update to the tool and reinstalled with no change.
Is there anything I can try to correct this?
P.s. if I remove all tunes tow/haul functions normally.
Thank you in advnace

Re: 08 chevy 2500 tow/haul tuning issue
Do you mean logs of the truck or just the tune itself?
Re: 08 chevy 2500 tow/haul tuning issue
hopefully the last tune written is what you were looking for, all my tunes have a date of 2011 for some reason.

Re: 08 chevy 2500 tow/haul tuning issue
Just wondering if any of the tuners/mods had a chance to look at these tunes yet?

Re: 08 chevy 2500 tow/haul tuning issue
there are really no changes in that tcm tune that could cause this, have you gone back to stock and verified if the same issue exists with the stock tune?

Re: 08 chevy 2500 tow/haul tuning issue
Yes with the tuner removed (stock tune) the transmission shifts. Normally in both regular and tow modes. It is only once I load the tuner in that it starts acting up. I played with it a little more and ot almost seems like the trans only sees gears 1-3 or maybe 1-4. Meaning if I'm driving at 40mph and hit the tow button the truck starts down shifting one gear at a time until it is at at least 4k+

Re: 08 chevy 2500 tow/haul tuning issue
well it does disable OD when you use tow/haul, so I would expect t to drop out of OD if you click it, but nothing else stands out.
Try loading the tune called modify stock for tcm and make no changes and see if it behaves the same.

Re: 08 chevy 2500 tow/haul tuning issue
Ok I will test the modify stock tune tonight. I get the dropping out of od but that is not what is happening, well to be more specific, it does drop out of od. But then it starts agressivley down shifting and won't up shift. I could try to take a quick video of it I'm just not sure how I could get it posted
Thank you for the assistance so far though!
