2016 GMC Canyon V6

Post by CheezyRiderAZ »

I recently downsized from a Sierra to a Canyon.
I had the I1000 tuner for the Sierra, mainly to shut off AFM, adjust for slightly taller tires, and I installed the 87 octane canned tune.
I'm trying to decide if I want an I2 for the Canyon, which does not have AFM so that's not an issue. I guess I'm trying to justify the $360 since I don't need it to shut off the AFM on this vehicle......

For anyone who has a late model Canyon or Colorado and tuned it:

1. Did you go with a canned tune?
If so, which one and what benefits have you noticed?
Any downsides so far?

2. Other than a canned tune, what all did you adjust with the tuner and, if it's not obvious, why?
What benefits have you seen from these adjustments?

Thanks in advance......

the older intune i1000 does not support most 2016+ vehicles.. it is not getting any new vehicle updates.. 2015 was the last full year of support for the intune i1000.. for newer 2016+ vehicles, the inTune i2 i2030 or Trinity is needed...
