its asking you to run the updater program and let it download a file to make it work.

Yes it's a 2013 challenger 3.6L. It say pcm may need updating and then says vehicle not supported. When I first received the tuner I followed everything on the instructions and did the updates when I hooked it up to the computer but still getting that message.

Similar or even same question, I think.

I've been using the i1000 inTune with great success on my '04 Dodge Ram Hemi for a few years. I use it to switch up between normal driving tune and when I am hooking up the trailer pulling a load or a long leg speed run to the city, as well as summer/winter tire size changeovers and the occasional fault code read. I also switch up use between my trucks sometimes using it on the wifey's '07 chev Tahoe as well. Great product!

I recently purchased for the boys to drive; an '05 Dakota with the 4.7 magnum V8 in it. The truck had been sitting in the backyard by a barn for over a year. This 4.7 is near exact same engine/transmission combo in many of the Jeeps and Rams. We got it running but now this new2us Dakota has been flipping check engine light. So I have used the i1000 to read and clear the code on it, P0404, which comes up again on the next ride.

Today I removed the tune/marriage divorcing it from the Ram as I wanted to try a Diablo tune on the 4.7 to see if it would clear up whatever is going on with that code (P0404-EGR) and possibly get it to pep as it is quite a dog dragger right now. Granted it is probably old fuel and whatnot-snot clogging the fuel system that is causing it. I will likely end up having to replace the EGR valve ..... But hey, let's tinker with it anyway to see if get it to wake up and blast off that gum and carbon. Later we also will want to jack the truck a bit and put some larger tires on it so I really need the intune to be able to change that setting.

When I plug the inTune into the Dakota, I get that message: may need a PCM calibration. So back to the house I fired up an old PC laptop (my main computer is a Mac), hooked up the inTune to the PC and ran the updater program from the intune drive. The unit automatically uploaded a "group" file of some kind, it rebooted, did the preparing/writing reboot again thing etc. Now the updater says "there are no available updates at this time." So I understand that to mean all the files on it are now up to date. This picture shows the versions that are on it right now. info.xml is also included.

So back out to the truck. Plug it in. Still says: may need a PCM calibration.

Thoughts? comments? suggestions?

Thanks
ClaudeP.

I recently bought a used itune I-1000 dcx. when I hook it up to my truck (2011 ram 1500 5.7L) it says PCM calibration needed to hook up to pc. how do make my vin code supported and get it to where I can tune my truck?
