Im extremely green to the world of tuning, ive been reading online forums and this website for over a month and im still stumped.
Heres the story I have a 2004 f150 5.4 3v with the following mods
JLT air intake that says its tune only intake
removed 2 rear most catalytic converters
3" exhaust straight thru bullet muffler dumped at axle
4.56 rear gears
and of course this u7151 tuner
Ive installed all my parts loaded the jlt premium fuel tune and the truck runs and drives great but i didnt dop any logging as I didnt know how.
Today i did a log did some idle, short 2,000 rpm steady cruise log and 1 wide open throttle run. Only thing i looked at and slightly understood were my short fuel trims.. i watched them during the log and it seemed as though the more gas i gave it and the engine under load it went as high as +27% at times. I know there lots of othere things that need looked at and adjusted that come into play but I dont know where to start or where to go to read and learn. I am still uncertain on how to move the data log from the handheld to my computer so i can email it in if need be lol. Im not looking for a dyno tune or a perfect tune. But Id at least like to know im not going to blow it up, is there anyone that knows a little something willing to hold my hand...help me transfer log to laptop for emailing and then look over the log for any glaring errors that need to be adjusted?
