Running ver 9r12 in my Australian 2008 5.7l 300c.
Problem is the transmission never seems to go into 5th anymore while cruising around at 60kph (37mph) gear unless I manually tap the gear stick to the right once while in D then it will go into 5th still shows D on evic, but is now in 5th (lower cruising rpm's)

Only adjustments made in the transmission menu was the shift firmness is selected.

Should I try Mode 1 , 2 or 3 and see if any of them automatically allow 5th while just cruising around.

Is the transmission gear selection dependant on what speed you are doing EG: will only select 5th in auto (D) at over a certain speed????

the modes simply change the way it behaves in autostick, you can try them but Im not sure whats up there.

Going to my mums tomorrow, will be on the freeway 110kph zone for a good 30km's. I'll leave the tranmission as it is now with shift firmness selected for the run there. I'll reset the auto back to nothing selected for the return run and compare both trips, there and back. let you know the result.
