Keep getting an error message No original tune backup saved. Wont load any tunes ? Just purchased a Trinity and when I hooked it up and go through all the steps it tries to save the stock map 2 times and then says failed to backup stock, no tunes will be downloaded. "This may be because a Performance Tune is already installed" I'm just a little confused ?????? HELP

you may need to ave the pcm updated at a dealer to get rid of the previous tune.

I have the same vehicle (2014 Chevy Silverado 5.3) - My Trinity T-1000 displays an error after loading a tune. It says "Warning: unable to tune at least one unit". This is me trying to tune the 87 tune. Is it not tuning my vehicle? If not how can it be fixed? It's brand new and my truck has never been programed. Please help, I'd like to get it tuned.

thats usually fromnot tuning the tcm, you should see which file its writing as it goes through the process. Id restore to stock, update the trinity, then try again.

that is normal operation.. that's how the trinity works.. because when you restore original backup to the vehicle, it resets the trinity, so it can be used on another vehicle, etc.. and you wouldn't want the custom tunes on there for a wrong vehicle..

so yes, that's how it's supposed to work.. .

so after you do a restore, then you have to reinstall the regular preset canned tunes to the vehicle so the trinity saves the original backup stock tunes in itself again...

then you have to import your custom tunes into it again..

then you can select/install the custom tunes to your vehicle.
