I2 problems with 2014 Mustang

Post by folivier »

Bought I2 from American Muscle in 12-16, Bamatunes can't resolve problem and suggested to contact Diablo so here goes:
Originally tried with Mac but never worked right, installed Win7 on mac and finally got it to work on my Mustang 2014 V6. But the speedometer was reading 8-12mph low. Bamatunes sent new tunes to correct. But I2 would not update on Win7 on Mac. Used 2 different computers with new Win7 install and after multiple tries I2 still would not complete update. Also tried to enable wifi through your instructions but wifi config screen is still grayed out on I2.
When I plug I2 into my Mustang and press TUNE it goes to "please wait" screen and stays there. Tried multiple times waiting 10 minutes and still won't get past that screen.
What to do? Not happy with this product that won't work properly. Thankfully I was able to return Mustang back to stock before these problems.

please post the info.xml file from the i2 drive.

the custom tunes should load to the device by simply copying them to the root of the i2 drive, maybe I need more specifics about what didnt work there?

I see the issue, the tool will need to be swapped out, we'll do it under warranty, please give us a call so we can arrange to have you send the tool in.

Thanks

Got the new one in and it updated and loaded new tunes. Was able to load tune in Mustang with no problems. It's running like it should and speedometer is correct.
The only problem is the wifi configuration is still grayed out. Is there any other way to get that active?
Thanks!

I did that more than once and did receive the ferrite cores. But the wifi config option is still grayed out.
The new unit is registered with the same email as the one I returned. Would I have to register the new unit again? Using the same email address or a different email address?

yes, if its a new tool you'll need to resubmit the reg process for that serial number.
