CMR connection problem......

I have a U7142. Everytime I open CMR_Dat its acting like it wants to communicate but it won't pull the PID list. I have tried every combination of Com Ports and baud rates on the 3 laptops I have tried it on and in the predator. Anyone have any helpful information?

If you are using a USB-to-Serial cable, did you install the drivers for it? It should have come with a CD.

If so, is the cable showing up in your hardware manager?

I am working on getting the DataViewer to download and view logs from CMR_DAT Predators so that CMR_DAT is no longer the only solution for the 7142.

No, I'm using the serial port on the laptop. I'm gonna try to find another cable and see if it works.

Yeah, straight RS-232 should not be giving you problems.
