Pulled my predator out for the first time to load a tune. Backed up the stock tune successfully, but everytime I attempt to load a custom tune (40 and 65 HP), I get a #209 error. What is this and how do I fix it?

I'll try to load a tune again tonight and get you the exact message. Thanks for the help.

2005 GMC 6.6L Duramax. LLY. Allison. 2.02 Predator.

Select - Tune it
Select - Auto trans
Select - Install Tune
Select - 65hp tune (also tried 40hp with same results)
Select - Enter to Install

The screen flashes "Please wait Communicating". The needles on the guages sweep many times and the "Please wait Communicating" keeps flashing on the tuner. After about 30 seconds I get the message "Install Tune Error #209. Press ESC to continue" Once I press ESC it just takes me back to the main menu.

I pulled the "radio, info, and radio amp" fuses. Parking brake is set. Turn off climate control. Uplug any and all accessories. The machine worked for backing up my stock tune. Went through that process from 0% to 100%. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Do you have XM radio, an alarm, a remote starter, any type of aftermarket electronics?

Thanks

Can you please provide me with the following info:

The trucks full VIN number
In the Predator, go to Options/troubleshooting/show calibration IDs
Post up all of the calibration IDs please.

Thanks

I have a remote starter but it has a disable switch under the dash which I turn off

I'll pull the rest of the info you are after at lunch or this evening.

OK, that remote starter may be an issue...
Rather than 'turning it off' I would like to see if you can fully disable it, like remove it from +12V entirely, and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks

Our engineers are attempting to duplicate this on the bench here.
We'll get back with you as soon as we have a suggestion.

Thanks
