InTune i1000 for already tuned Silverado SS questions.

Hi there, my friend has a 5.3l 2009 GMC Sierra that he is selling. He has unmarried his inTune i1000 from his truck and offered to sell it to me for a very good price. The main reason I want it is to change my tire size and fix my speedometer, however I may try out some of the tunes as well. My main question is that since my 06 Silverado SS already has a tune (I'm unsure of what tune as it was already tuned when I bought it) will it save the current tune and let me change only the tire size? Will it save the current tune as the "stock" backup tune? If so, I'm assuming I can try out some of the built in DiabloSport tunes but also revert back to my old unknown tune if I don't like them. Sorry if these noobish questions have been asked before. I've done all the googling I can and can't seem to find an answer. Thanks.

as long as it's not a diablo tune already on it, or as long as the previous tuner did not lock the tune/pcm, yes you can use the intune on it and it will save that tune as the "original backup"
