ok trying to tune customer nd cannot open his logs now for some reason. I have about 4-5 already issue free working fine. he sent me one last one and I get nd error message when I try to open it. he has since made me 3 others to try and same del with them also.

the message reads

Critical failure: log file error log file was invalid format.

the log is saved like the last 100 or so from diff customers I have and they all work issue free. I need this to open and it wont is there something I could have done or that happened to cause this.

can you post some of those logs here?
Any chance we can get the info.xml file from the i2 drive?

Here are two examples of log files where I get "Log File Error"

I have a 2012 Challenger R/T with a 5.7 based 392 with a Whipple.

These are logged with a Trinity

The CROM file is use is the one that ends in "g"

The dataviewer release that I use is 3.4.1.4

If I try to open one of my logs (like those above), I get the "Log File Error".

If I open a log that was previously logged on someone else's Trinity and then try to open one of those above, the logs above will open correctly.

Both of these logs open fine for me in 3414....

Did you already have other known good files opened and then open one or both of these?

Close 3414 and re-open it and try to open one of the two files I posted without another file already being open and see what happens.

just did that on my pc.. and they both open perfectly fine in DV 3414... no issues..

cr@p! now what?

try reinstalling DV?
