I know this has been covered here but the links to tuners have since gone offline, so I have a 2 part question...

First question, I’ve attached an image of the Fords Official recommended timing adjustments, Ford does not provide anymore info on any further adjustments other than IVO BTDC, IVC ABDC, EVO BBDC, EVC ATDC and the WOT Cam Timing. Does that mean no further adjustments are needed to get a GT on the road with those adjustments provided by Ford in there install manual?


Second question, could you provide a link or contact information to a tuner in or around the Los Angeles area, that is familiar with tuning GT’s with Hot Rod Cams?

My first advise is to think really hard about this swap.
I have rarely seen any solid gains from these cams, and for the amount of effort required to install them, I would hope for much more gains.
Drivability will be affected with the cams.

I know the gains usually are around 20-30hp with the cams which isnt much, I’m smfine with that... I’ve had cars with cams in the past and experienced the short comings that come along with the install and driving experience but it’s worth it to me, I desire the lumpy idle.

As far as the install, it’s not that hard to do, I do have experience pulling the cams on the S197 and also replacing cam gears, it’ll probably take me 3.5 hours to complete.

Sounds good, I just still say for the time and effort, and considering it will need a tune either way, that there are better cams you can install that will provide better power gains
