Go towards RICH. Rich is more fuel, LEAN is more air.

HUH, well thats odd because when I go to the lean side my KNK retard goes down but when I go to the rich side the KNK retard gets worse.

Rich is more fuel. Lean is less fuel. I have a wideband, it works.

I know that rich is high fuel and lean is low fuel but this is just odd. Im using the 9r02 version. Is this version backwards? If I go to the rich side on the little scale my KNK retard gets waaayyy worse. If I go to the lean side on the scale it gets wayyy better. I know that taking away fuel will make things worse but according to the Predator im going the right way. I start out with about 6* KNK retard. I goto 4% to the lean side of the scale and it goes down to 1* KNK retard. If I goto 4% on the rich side of the scale the KNK retard goes to 8-9*. This is on the 93cai tune by the way. WTF????

It damn sure runs better. Leaning it out and its reducing knock retard. I like it!!! Actually, im gonna see what the A/F is before I go to far with it. But as far as the knock retard, its getting better the more I put it to the lean side of the scale. So, the WOT fuel adjustment on my car is doing just the opposite of what it should. I wonder if my car was made in Poland??

The WOT fuel adjustment on the Predator is what im talking about. The slider to adjust the fuel. When I goto the lean side the knock retard goes away. If I goto the rich side the knock retard gets worse. Ive got about 6* of knock retard with the settings at 0. If I adjust fuel 4% to the lean side (to the right) the knock retard goes to 1*. If I adjust fuel 4% to the rich side (to the left) the knock retard goes to 8-9*.

Wow, after reading this, I'm going to put my WOT fuel adjustment back to center, no increase/decrease in %. I found it odd that "Rich" was to the left and "Lean" was to the right when I installed the 9r01 version.

Okay, something is definetly messed up in there. Same thing happened to me. 3.5° MAX KR with the canned 93 CAI, added 2% RICH and now its upto 6.5°. Weird thing is that its not happening in first gear. It only knocks beyond 55mph, and 3900rpms on up, so its 2nd or third gear. Wondering if perhaps its false knock?

That is EXACTLY what mine was doing. Only getting KNK retard under a more heavy load like 2nd or 3rd gear. I think I found the problem though. It all had to do with the engine temps. Going to the left (rich) actually does give more fuel. Going to the right (lean) does take away fuel. I was tuning the car in mornings where the temps were really low. I went way over to the right side (lean) and did the log on a cold engine and of course had no Knock retard. Then I went to the left (rich) after the first log and did another log when the engine temps were at normal. Which in turn I had some Konck retard because of the higher temps. Its all figured out now. Got it running damn good and KNK is down to about .5-1* and spikes at 5* when first pegging it to the floor and shifting. It then goes right away. I had to put a little more than 8% fuel into the 93CAI tune before the KNK went down. Im wondering if I should go down to about 5% and take a tad bit of timing out. I dont want to drown the car with fuel to get rid of the knk retard. Try it again with the same engine temps if you didnt do that already.

What gas are you running in the car?

I originally had 3% in each range and logged after driving for a couple hundred km's. I had ~2-3 degrees KR but the car wasn't fully warmed up.

I've retarded two degrees of timing but might add a bit more fuel and drop one degree instead...

I'm going to out and log again today...

Cheers,
Chris

Here's my log. I leaned out the car to see if perhaps there was too much gas and got the same results.
