Uh Oh, PCM was Updated.

Post by fordomatic69 »

I put my stock tune back on my 06 Magnum R/T then I took my car in to get a faulty O2 sensor replaced under warantee. My mechanic found a different TSB related to something else and he updated my PCM to the latest version. Does this mean that my Predator will no longer work or is the latest PCM update for an '06 R/T compatible with the Predator?

Thanks!

As long as you put everything back to stock it will be fine.

Actually no, it's not... My Predator says that the tool does not support my CALID. WTF?

:O!!! Did you say restore to stock?? I just updated my PCM about a week ago and then put the Predator back on it. I had no problems. You might have to update your Predator.

I restored back to stock first.... the PCM update was for a TSB for the EGR. My new CALID should be included in the next revision of the Predator. I can wait... spring has not yet sprung here in Ontario.

Actually, it's 9r01... maybe 9r02 supports the new CALID... I will try that first but I think MikeL said it would be in the next Predator release. He just emailed me and I will have to wait a wee bit but not long.

It's very new (last month or so) and they're aware of it. The next revision will update it.

I suspect the EGR problem is a phantom as one of my best friends is a tech at a Dodge Dealer *nudge nudge, wink wink*

LOL, the best is working on your car under warranty. I get paid to work on my own car.
