i3 8245 - Won't update

I received my i3 today and was excited to get started. I have tried updating this thing via Ignition on my Mac, Ignition on my wife's PC, and by wifi alone.

On the Mac, it completes, states it's up to date, and gives me the option to buy licenses. However, when I unplug and plug back in, it says there are updates available. I'm assuming it didn't update successfully.

On the PC, I can't tell if my account is logged in, it says it's updating but never says it's up to date. It says to follow the on screen directions on the device, which it stays on the main menu. I unplug and plug back in, it says there are updates available. I'm assuming it didn't update successfully.

With the Wifi only, it says their are updates available. I start the updates and the progress meter gets to 61%, then starts over again and the progress meter gets to 35%. Once it hits 35%, it goes back to the disclaimer screen. I go to check for updates and it says there are updates available. I'm assuming it didn't update successfully.

So, what do I need to do to get this to update successfully?

i have the exact same thing, my i3 8245was just delivered straight from powerteq about an hour ago. Running ignition shows 10 files available, it download them, copies them to the device ,then just sits, so i unplug and replug the device, then it regignises theres updates, says it installs them all successfully, ignition offers to sell me some extras etc, but all the version numbers when you click more are the same as before the update. also it says 'missing' beside installer which i think is probably part of the problem. Hope we can get this sorted quick.

Update: Just spoke with tech support, they said it looks like my i3 device did in fact update and is falsely reporting that the installer is missing, will go try to tune my truck shortly, fingers crossed.

I spoke with support yesterday as well (great minds think alike). I was told there is a bug on the server causing it to always find an update and download the same file over and over, however my i3 should be updated. So I went out and it worked. Set the 87 tune and disabled the DoD/AFM. All worked.

you're lucky, mine did not, just keeps telling me i need an update to enable support for my ecm, cost an arm and a leg to get this thing over the vborder too, I hope i don;t have to pay tax and duties on a replacement if it needs to be rma'd as well.

When i spoke to support again yesterday morning, I was told an engineer would be looking at my file and I'd get a call back shortly. I haven;t heard so have been biding my time reading this forum and posts elsewhere as well. It seems like very post I've seen where the installer is missing there has to be a replacement device issued. Has anyone had a different experience than this after getting shipped a unit with the installer missing?
