Recall for pcm

I’m gonna put this question up so others can get the info.

So I just received a recall letter in the mail stating I need to have my pcm reflashed for cruise control issue. Do I put the stock one back in the truck to reflash it or do I let them flash the unlocked one. If they flash the unlocked one will it screw it up? Do I just restore the unlocked one to original backup?

If I have to put stock one in how will my unlocked pcm get the update? Thanks for the help just trying to make sure I get this done correctly.

doesnt matter either way really, the changes are in the BCM for cruise control.

So I can just set it back to stock and it won’t lock it out if they decide to do something with the pcm? Is the trailer brake in the pcm or back?

they cant lock it out really, you'll be fine.
Easy solution is to put stock pcm in, let them flash it then put tuned pcm back in when you get back.

What if I need the new update in the unlocked pcm? Do you guys provide that?

no, the updated cal is not directly supported so we do not load it to pcms here.
