I was wondering if someone could help me out with a car I have recently purchased.
It's an 07 Magnum, 5.7 AWD, and has supposed motor work done to it. It also came with an InTune2, I believe, that contains the tune for the engine.
My question, is this tune a "base model" to get the car running tune? Or has it been modified "for" the engine for performance/drive-ability?
Figured it was worth a shot to ask some people with knowledge of the tuner software to let me know if I did in fact, need to see an approved dealer for proper tuning before spending the money for them to tell me "The car's already tuned".
The following is the information I was told by the previous owner:
Inertia Motorsports Spartan Plus cam and valvetrain (seems like a popular one)
Headers w/full SLP loudmouth exhaust
I also would like to know if the downstream O2 sensors have been shut off because the readiness tests have never set for OBD, yet no CEL.
Thanks for any advice or information.

Re: Base Tune or Modded Tune?
well, does it run/drive well?
If so, its certainly tuned for the cam, but as to whether its a completed safe tune or not, will require some logging, AFR data, etc.

Re: Base Tune or Modded Tune?
Lots of idle speed and airflow adjustments, so it seems to be set up for a cam swap. O2s are disabled, there are likely better ways of disabling them if you need to pass emissions.

Re: Base Tune or Modded Tune?
It runs and drives pretty well, could definitely tell there are some flat spots in the lower RPM range. Also it likes to stall out when slightly acclerating in reverse.
For NJ i will need to pass emissions so I may need to get a OBD tune and a non-OBD tune.
I will have to get in touch with my local dyno/tuner shop to see what they can do to help me out.
Thanks Mike.
