i just installed my new diablo, used the diablo tune turned the spark advance-(s) back 13 deg due to 87 octane (1/2 tank still). i turned all the transmission shift parameters to the max. very noticable difference. cant wait to fill up with premium and re-set the advance(s). the main reason why i purchased this is because we tow a travel trailer (6000 lbs) and i wanted to try and save the trannie.
my question is what does turning the egr off do? i understand the egr system. do the combustion temps get to high without the recirculation? would there be an improvement in performance.
is there a tune for my truck that is made for towing? most power without damage.

2001 ford supercrew, 5.4l auto. only mod is k&n air filter. 95000 kms.
