Stock Tune

Post by thekgkid1 »

Hi,
In order to retrieve the stock tune file from the T2. Do you have to return vehicle to stock tune? Or what is the quickest way to copy the stock tune to a PC?

Thanks!

Just so we are on the same page. Married means: T2 hooked to car and Pc at the same time? As the folder is empty when just the T2 is hooked to Pc.

I have already tuned the car and used a couple of the canned tunes without issue. Car has been running good. 2015 Hellcat.

Thanks!

married means the tool has saved the stock tune from the vehicle.
If there are no files in the tunes folder it leads me to say the device is not married and there is no tune loaded to the vehicle.
Post the info.xml file from the T2 drive so I can confirm.

Thanks

This is very interesting. It sure seemed like it was tuned/working. Ran pretty good at the track. it has stated several times, tune loaded successful. I was switching from the 91 to the 93 tunes a few times. Here is the info file.

So I looked in the T2 drive a different way. I did not use the path the dataveiwer takes me. I just opened the drive from my documents folder. And there are some files in the Tune folder. It also defaults to using the date 1/19/2018 when it saves files. My saved logs are the same date, except one. I purchased the unit in June/July of this year. In the tune folder there is a "back-up" and "last tune" written for the PCM and TCM. The back up is the stock tune I am guessing?

yes, backup is the stock tune.
Theres no clock in the device so dates are not valid.
