New to tuning

Post by TaZ »

I have a 2014 sierra all terrain with the 5.3 and 6 speed.
Have the intune i2
I installed flowmaster muffler with dual outlet so they also removed the huge stock resonator that was after the muffler. Still have stock air filter for now but will be upgrading.
After installing the exhaust, it seems to have a lag in acceleration. Seems mostly to me from around 1k to 2k rpm and maybe a little throughout. I currently have afm/dod turned off because it drives so much better.
I'm wondering where I should start adjusting to make it more responsive and still keeping afm/dod off. Just for everyday driving. And when I do add an intake what else I should adjust.
Thanks for any input.

Get a custom tune, much nicer than the canned tunes. https://www.diablewtune.com/

Yeah, you will need a custom tune to get the airflow, fueling, timing, etc all adjust correctly.. you can't adjust those things with the tool itself.. (as well as many other things that I adjust in a custom tune)

Please send me an email at -- diablo DOT help AT gmail DOT com -- with the year, model, engine of your GM vehicle, any mods done to it, what octane gas you use, which diablo tool you have, etc.. and I can send you a loooong email with info about the custom tuning, the process, etc.

Thanks!
