01 lightning problem

i just bought an 01 L. with 48k miles. i found a chip in the glove box. anyway, i plugged it in, and it made a tremendous difference from no tune. well, it has a red light on the upper part of switch, and when i turn it to middle or bottom part, light turns green. im not sure of how this works. well anyway, i left it on the red cuz it was the best. i started my truck one day (i had the chip plugged in for about 4 days) and i was backing out and my truck just dies and my security light turns on and mileage only shows lines... i cant start my truck now at all unless i have the switch put all the way down, or the chip unplugged. can you help with this problem at all??

Sounds like the chip shorted out, maybe it was not fully installed....?
If it does not work now, it may need to be reflashed, or it may actually have been damaged and no longer work.
