Running rich with LTFTs dialed in?

I have an 2000 Trans Am, and I just installed a custom tune that Mike made me (thanks again). I drove around for 30 minutes, and then I got my fuel trims dialed in. They were at about +10 at a steady 20% throttle in 4th gear (M6), so I adjusted the injector slope -10 and they seem to hover right around -1 to 0 at a cruise now. Only thing is there is black smoke coming out of my exhaust at WOT, so running rich, smell of unburned fuel, etc. Why is this happening? Bad o2 sensor maybe? Should I try going negative on the PE fueling a bit?
Mods:
Lid
LT headers
full 3" exhaust

Could be the fact that you had to add that much fuel to get your trims in line it is getting too much fuel at wot, i would lean it out with the PE setting about 5% and then check it, car should feel better too when you do this.

yeah, go -5% in the PE fueling section, for both rpm ranges...

I have pretty much the same mods as zr0s. I'm using the Innovate LM-1 to monitor my AFR. At wot in the upper rpm range it reads 11.9 AFR is that too rich. Should i subtract a little PE???

yeah... 11.9 is rich... I'd go -5% in the appropriate PE range...
