Hitting Rev Limiter - Possibly Fixed!!!

So I was bored yesterday and decided to try the 91 CAI tune in my 07 SRT8 Charger to see if I felt any real difference between it and the 93 CAI Tune

From what I can tell so far, I cant feel a difference between the tunes

and

from the mild testing ive done so far, the issue with hitting the rev limiter has been fixed. I am running raised shift points with the limiter in D up 150 rpms (when I was running the 93 CAI raised shift or not, I had the limiter raised by 300)

So for those of you running the 93 CAI and hitting the limiter -- try the 91 CAI

Do you feel that the 91 tune runs better or worse? The 93 felt worse than the 91 tune until I messed with the timing and fuel. I have it running better than the 91 tune now. I added fuel and took some timing out to do so. The fuel sucks ass here in FL.

I think it runs MUCH better on the 91 tune (while still running 93 octane gas)

I dont know enough about this to just go out and randomly mess with fuel and timing to get the 93 running right

Well I have only run the canned tunes (no messing with anything besides raised shift points and rev limited) and with the 91 CAI tune the car just runs ALOT more smoothly. Idle is better, WOT is better --- NO HITTING THE LIMITER. Even downshifts seem to happen at the right times!

And when I said I cant feel a difference between the two tunes I was referring to a loss/gain in power

I will have to try the 91 and raised shift points on my 08 RT and see if it cures mine from hitting the rev limiter. There is a 08 in Florida about 15 minutes away from Diablo that is having the same problem as me. The car hits on the 2-3 shift. When the guy called instead of Diablo having him bring his car in so they could see and maybe fix this issue they told him he didn't need the raised shift points on a stock RT. I know from reading lxforum track testing that is more BS from Diablo. They try hard for a while and then they BS for a while.

Such harsh words man, give us some credit, we are only so many people here and we are trying to keep up with all the new markets.
As i stated in another post we will bring the local guy in when time permits, hope you understand.

That is great news but I was told that you said a stock 5.7 didn't need raised shift points so I thought you were going to forget about it. Didn't mean to be harsh.

I don't think kymag means anything by it. He just talks that way.
