Will Predator recognize aftermarket chip?

I know you say it is bad to install a tune from the Predator over an already-installed aftermarket modification (chip). My question is, will the Predator's diagostics recognize and tell me, when I first hook it up, whether there is an aftermarket chip installed rather than the stock factory tune? If not, wouldn't I have to take the truck to some shop and have it checked first?

Yes, the Predator will catch it during the read of the stock file.
