New Diablo Sport - CAI ?

Post by TexasZ714x4 »

Just received my new U7194 it looked to have the latest file in it,U7194-9r03 so I downloaded my stock tune in and then put the 87 octane tune in my truck. The only parameters I changed were for larger tires and rev limiter to 125. Since I have a CAI, I wanted to adjust for that but not sure which selections to make?? By the way everything there went smooth, very easy plug and play.

My truck is a 2007 Chev. 5.3 Alum Block with AFM

I can notice the increased power and lack of delay it gave me right out of the box. I plan on cking to see if it improves my milage. :D

I have read some of the forums here and see that I need to take AFM off when charting it or else it throws everything out of whack. I can't wait to do this. Also I don't think it will do this but can or will the predator in the future be able to say keep the tranny in 4 cylinder mode longer? Basically I'm interested in milage.

I also tried to down load the DSDownloader to my computer although it gave me an error delete file 5 ?? I will Call tech support in the morning.

Thanks Chris

You can drive in 3rd if you want to keep it on. There is no CAI adjustments needed, but you do want to adjust the LTFT's. (long term fuel trims). Your objective is to get the readings as close to Zero as possible. So do some logging and get an average and adjust accordingly. Once dialed in, your trucks power band will be smooth, you could see an increase in mpg and more power.

Good luck
