Key counts

Post by vrodrex »

I know that when I installed the Predator that my key counts were wiped out. If I change program setting, does it clear the key counts each time I change settings or just during the intial installation of the programmer?

If you have a U7130 (03-05) , then they will clear with each flash.
U7131 with the latest update does not clear key counts.

i apologize in advance for this, but i think it needs to be said:
i'm sorry johan, but its been on your loooooooooooooooong list of things to do for the past 6-8 months now. you guys jumped all over the 7131 when they complained about their key counts and other features not working, how about taking of us 7130 guys for once. i know your busy, but come on this isn't new news that you haven't known about. i paid my money just as those guys did and i expect the same treatment as they got. they complained and it was fixed promptly, we complain and its on your long list. can we please get this fixed ASAP.

I'm with fyrguy316, I guess we should just start complaining in here and in the other forums and maybe we will be moved to the top of the long list. I want to use my predator, no complains or any issues but I would like it to be undetectable like claim.

i'm one of the lucky ones, i have a good dealer. they know i have the programmer, but if a chrysler has to come in or someone from cummins and they see the key counts erased they will know something is up. the big point here is the fact that it is to be undetectable and they have known about it on the 7130 for almost a year and have done nothing. they knew about this problem before the 7131 was released to the public. they took care of the guys that bought the 7131, but left us hanging. what makes their money any better than mine?

You also have to think they're going to be focusing more on the Key Counts on the newer trucks just for the simple fact that they're going to be in warranty. 05 and down most warranties have ran out.. Not saying all but most. That's my guess..

the 3 year bumper to bumper may have run out, but you have a 10 year/100,000 mile from cummins and thats the one you have to watch. if a part on that motor fails cummins wants it back for quality checking. some stuf will only go bad if pushed too hard. injectors for instance, the most common way to get a cracked injector nozzle is a pressure box. they know if your running something. but regardless of all that, THE KEY COUNTS NEED TO BE FIXED!!!!
