2008 Magnum 5.7L, v.9r04. I'm running the 91 octane tune and then modified it for raised shift points (6,000 rpms), raised rev limiter (tried +200, +300, +600), and increased shift firmness.

At WOT it shifts at 6,000 but there is a hesitation and the revs go up a bit and then it catches the next gear. It does not do this when set to the plain 91 octane tune and shifts around 5,800 even with increased shift firmness.

Is this hesitation and increased revs something that is supposed to happen? Does it help it to catch the next gear faster/better? If not then I don't know what else to change. I'm probably going to put it back to stock shift points.

Some 08 5.7's do have this issue, we have yet to figure out why this is, it is not supposed to do what you are seeing, so for now i would suggest using stock shift points until we figure out a fix for it.

Thanks. I'm back to stock or at least back to the 91 octane tune setting which seems to be the same as stock. It's shifting at 5,500 rpms or it could be 5,800 if the tach is slow.

Yeah the tach is slow on those.

This has been going on for months now with the 08 and raised shift points. My tuner does a good job except for the raised shift points hits the rev limiter. Seems to me you guys could have fixed this by now or at least tried to on a local car. What is going on?

do raised shift points work on the flashpaq? I am still waiting for that to occur on the 07. Point is it will get fixed if its possible. I am sure these guys won't forget about the 08 owners with this problem, unlike some of the other tuners, these people really do care.

Our workload right now is extremely high and currently i have a few projects ahead before being able to address this issue.

Thanks. I'm extremely happy with my Predator and I'm glad this is on your list. For me there are only 2 things I would like to see addressed in the future: this shift issue and a way to get rid of the fault code P0128 for installing a lower t-stat.
