Just purchased a second hand u7134 for my srt4. I tried to marry it to my car last night and was unsuccessfull. Its giving me an error saying unable to communicate with unit 1. I've checked fuses. My keys on. A scanner works when I read my codes and such.

Ps the tuner is unmarried.

sounds like device itself may have an issue.
Key in RUN, go to options/troubleshooting/show VIN or show calid, does it display this info from the vehicle?
