I vaguely recall you saying a few months (or a year) ago that you were going to be looking into a tuner for BMW. What ever happened with that? Just curious, because I talked to the dealer today and I should have an M550 ready for tuning in about a year. My lease goes out in September, but BMW is allowing a 6 month pull ahead. So I'll order the car in March, provided they get an allocation, and 10-12 weeks later I'll be ready for a tune...... unless I wait for the 2021 refresh.
"523hp" out of the box, so 600 should be cake with a tune. Of course, they make way more than that, so we're looking for 650-700.
And yes, I'll bring it up to Sanford. I ain't paying for the AWD dyno though.

Yeah, BMW flash tuning is in the works. Its being developed as a group effort amongst the Powerteq engineering team and will be marketed under the Dinan Brand.
Look for lots of new and big things to come from Dinan here in the future.

Nice! Hope it doesn’t come with the typical Dinan price though. I can’t drop $1500 on a tune for a lease.
EDIT: Actually, just checked and they want $1700 for the 2019 cars. For 55 measly hp? When for $800 a JB4 will make 80+? Or Racechip does 53 for $799. Definitely need to work on that pricing. 85-90% of BMW “sales” in the US are leased. Speaking from experience, Dinans warranty means nothing on a leased car. We just want the biggest gains, for the lowest price, and we want it to be removable and resaleable when we’re done with it.

Dinans site no longer works. So much for that. Guess the new car will be getting BootMod3 tuned.

Yeah, I know the site, but it won’t load for me on any of my computers or my phone. Times out every time.
New car will be a 2021 M550. Dealer is working on getting a July build date so it’ll be a refresh instead of the old 18-20 version.

Gotta be an issue on your end Mike.. because that dinancars.com site loads perfectly fine for me too here in CT...
either an issue with your browser, or your ISP blocking it maybe??

Weird, I will check to see if anyone else is reporting that issue.
nothing available for the 2021 stuff yet. Is it a whole new platform for 21 or just a refresh?
We are using an 18 550 here for the initial flash development....

It’s a refresh, but the engine is the version from the 850i (N63B) with 523hp instead of 456. They started using that engine last year. The version you have (N63R) was only used for two years in the 5 and 7 series. It’s currently only used in the X5 and X6 as the base V8, with the N63R offered in the M50i.

20-21 M550 - N63B
20-21 X5/X6 M50i - N63B
