2016 Corvette ZO6 tune?

Post by FRANK121 »

I have the INTUNE I3 coming for my 2016 Corvette Z06, looking to eliminate the AFM and make the throttle more responsive? I have been told I cannot change my A8 settings? I will be installing a new air filter and hope that this with the tuner will add a little? Right now it shifts fast, I guess it is the skip shifts and just makes it feel jerky? Any suggestions once I get the tuner?
Thanks!

the tuner will allow you to disable AFM, and adjust throttle response.
There is tcm support for the 2016 model.
The fast shifts are how its supposed to be though, slowing them down will lead to trans wear, I wouldn't recommend that.

Let me clarify on Fast Shifts? By fast shifts I mean .... While in Drive leaving a stop sign, push on the gas and it shifts up through the gears while barely giving it gas? Sometimes it feels like it immediatelty shifts up to 3rd and then back down and back to 3rd or fourth? Hard to drive slow, it you romp on it, it seems to run and shift correctly? Hope a TCM tune will smooth this out?

yes, you will need a custom tune done for it.. and then I can adjust the part-throttle normal driving shift points to hold the gears longer before it up-shifts...

I have an appointment at the Dealership for a transmission flush to see if it takes care of as I describe it, the erratic transmission shifts? Unless you drive it hard like you're on a track the transmission is constantly shifting? My question is, should I revert the Diablo tune back to stock in case they try and update something?
Thanks!

yes.. .ALWAYS restore the original backup stock tune to the car before going to a dealer for anything.
