It doesn't even recognize the car as an 06 GTO it prompts me to choose
HHR or Trailblazer SS.
Type: gm_E40
Part: u7191
Version: v.8r07
Tried restoring original and it states the tune in the car isn't licensed
or some such.
If I write down the key it's giving me under the FORCE option and call
for the password would that restore the original backup?
Any advice?

This may sound strange, but disconnect the battery for 5-10 minutes then reconnect and see if the car starts. I was switching between tunes, restored original backup (stock), then went and tried to install the performance tune and got hung up. The issue was caused because I did not start the car between tunes.
Hope this helps.

That was the first thing I tried. As soon as I reconnect the battery the car goes nuts.
Thanks for the reply though.

OK I got her running again *WOOT* !
The first restore didn't seem to work 100% for some reason but it unlocked everything.
What really happened was my battery didn't have enough charge.
After charging I loaded my backup of the original back to the unit, restored it, got her running, picked the wife up from work
then reinstalled the Diablo tune.
Thanks Vas and all the tech support folks that had to deal with another dope that forgot the golden rule,
DON'T HAVE THE CAR RUNNING AND HIT TUNE
Although I still think a sanity check shouldn't be too hard to put in the tuner to stop idiots like me.
If RPM >= 1 (or a safe #) then display a NO WAY DUMBO dialog box, CANCEL.
