Predator wont update.

My predator says that it needs an update, its a hand-me-down one made in 2011, I currently have software 9r12, which from a bit of reading is pretty far out of date. I connected it to the computer but the DS Downloader doesnt detect it for some reason. Any help? Its 2006 Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI V8. The Predator is a u7137.

need to install the driver for the usb to serial cable so the pc can see the device.

Same issue, Diablosport updater wont find U7137, i have the USB to Serial cable it came with, downloaded the older predator driver software, ive gone into device manager and messed with COM ports and no luck, ive looked on here for pervious posts about it and ive tried everything, still seems like something is off though, im running windows 8.1 dont know if there is anything specific needed for windows 8.1.

if it wont find it, its a driver issue.
What com port does the device manager say the cable is assigned to?
