Tire Size Adjustment

Hello. Just ordered new sets of tires and rims for my charger. Quick question on the tire size adjustments. It will be a staggered setup however the fronts are P255/45/20 and the rears are P295/40/20. I'm assuming I should change the tire size based on the rear setup correct ? I used the tire size calculation that mike L posted a while ago and the height for the rear is 29.30 and the front is 29.04. thanks for your help.

Yeah use the size of the rears to input into the Predator.

I read on other forums that it will effect your track times in a negative way. That is larger tires over smaller tires not sure about this myself.

You'll probably lose on quickness off the line for drag racing since the effective torque radius of the tire is greater. You'll gain with smaller radius tires ... In the long run, you could save gas as you'll go further for the same number of engine revolutions.

Should I change the tire size or does the Predator know I have the R&T Package by the VIN#? The difference is 28.18 inches on the R&T Package and 28.63 inches w/o the R&T Package, or does this not make a difference? I believe every little thing counts.

Bluesunshine, I believe this feature is for someone that changes out from stock to aftermarket. This setting will calibrate the odometer.

Jeff, I read in another post that if you are changing the tire size by .5", you should change your tire size in the Predator. The R&T Package is .45" difference from the non R&T Package
Could someone from Diablo answer this question for us. Does the Predator know if you have the R&T Package by the vin #? Or should we not worry about it?

Bluesunshine I think you are missing the point here and that is that your car with the R&T package is already setup for the difference in tire size and the predator has the ability to adjust the the setting ( odometer that is) if you should want which tire sizes. It's just a feature the predator has to enhance it's capabilities or for that matter selling advantage.
If your car is as is from the factory the predator uses the information input to it and goes from there.
