adjusting fans to 160 question? (u7191) 06 GTO

i just ordered the 160 thermostat . do i have to remove the diablo tune to change the setting for when the fans kick on? and then reinstall it? or could i modify the tune while its still in my car?

No need to R/R the tune. Get into the Modify Tune menu and go to Fan Controls.

I started with 192 at 25% on, 196 at 75% on and all other settings up to 230 is 99% on. Kept configuring the fans for the temps I want them to turn on at to achieve a 185F. IIRC, mine are now at 24%, 50%, 78% and the rest are 99%. At a long idle in traffic the temp does not get above 190F. I live in the PNW so depending on your location you will need to adjust the fans for the conditions. The percentages I gave were a good baseline for my GTO.
