intune i1000 vehicle not supported

Post by cleetusvandame »

First time posting.

I've purchased an 2002 Mustang GT that came with a intune 1000 unit. Unfortunately, I cannot get it to connect to my vehicle without getting the "this vehicle is not supported, please contact Diablo Sport" message. After some on line reading, I have downloaded the update tool and installed the latest updates available for the unit, however I still get the same message.

I have attached the XML file contents below as well if it helps.

Any ideas on what could be the issue?

Thanks in advance.

I don't understand..... The device has been updated and shows an update file on the root of the device.

Could you please point me to which update I need for the device?

the unknown ford tune is the issue, run it again and it should show a version there.
use the update agent software.

Thanks Mike, I will try it, though I have used the updater which shows 7 updates. It downloads it and then it tells me to follow the instructions on the tuner to finish the update, but nothing happens. I have to disconnect and then reconnect. Finally an update file shows up on the root of the tuner.

Tried your suggestion, still shows missing under Ford tune. Not sure what else to do...….

the fact that the group update is sitting in the drive is an issue.
The device has to import that.
Its likely the auto play functions keeping it from importing the file.

Try connecting it to a vehicle while the group update is loaded to the device and see if that allows it to load the update on the device.

Thank you Mike. I think I finally got it to update and the Ford tune is now showing up. Looks like the auto play was causing the issue. I'll plug it into the car tomorrow and report back. Is it best to back up the existing tune from the vehicles ecu? Not sure if it's stock or been changed to one from the tuner.
