Okay, I just bought a Diablo from a guy on Craigslist Part # U7146 for my 03 Mustang GT Convertible and he said this site could give me a custom tune for my car. The cord that came with it, will not fit this computer. It is too old for the laptop. So, how do I get this website to give me a custom tune and how do I pull it from the internet without the use of the cable?
Modifications to the car: Cold Air Intake, 70 mm throttle body, plenum, under drive pulleys, bbk shorty headers, pypes x-pipe (2 cats), flowmasters. From axle back, exhaust is stock, short throw shifter.

Well, you won't get a custom tune from this site, but you can contact
www.bamachips.com or
www.dallasmustang.com and they will be more than happy to create a custom tune for your vehicle. As far as that cable goes, if it is a serial to serial cable(both ends are the same), then you will need to purchase a serial to USB cable.

Have you installed the Diablo tune. If so what problems are you having with it?

i have not installed the preadator tune becouse i heard it could possibly hurt my engine since i needed a special tune becouse of the mods. i was also told that other mustang owners have like mods and like tunes and share them here. So i got on tis site and have been asking that question. Will it hurt my engine with these mods??? i just dont want to plug it in and something go wrong. i hate learning the hard way. Tooo Expensive!!

I think that the diablo tune will only help your car with the mods you have installed. Your car may run a little hotter so you might want to replace your stock thermostat with a 180* stat, so you run a little cooler but stay at a good burn temperature.

I do not recommend this...
There's no need for a lower thermostat. There's a lot to be said for combustion effciency and by running the engine cooler your are effecting it.

If you live in a area that is cold there will probably be no need to replace the thermostat. On the other hand if the climate you live in is hot like where I am from, 104* day/ 80* night, then a stat would be good. So it depends on the climate in your area if you should go with a stat or not. A 180* stat will not affect combustion efficiency drasticly as a 160* stat would.

I'll give you that but still. Most of the newer ford engines actually seem to run better hotter. Strangely.
