What is the difference between MBT WOT spark and WOT spark?

the pcm will use the lower value of the 2, so if increasing timing, you have to increase both by the same amount.

Got it! Thank you! Runs much better now that the timing is actually advanced. One more thing about ignition timing and fuel. If knock occurs at a certain RPM, are you supposed to Richen the mixture? Mix a higher octane? or do you HAVE take some timing back out? Just wondering what affects it the most. Octane? Quantity of fuel? I'm guessing that peak performance is found right at or before knock starts. Am I right? My truck says I'm right. I ask because I'm getting 1.5 knock ST at around 4,800 RPM's then .05 knock ST at 5,800 Rpm's. I had the timing advanced the same for MBT and spark WOT at the three different RPM parameters respectively as you said. I backed off the timing one number for the mid and high Rpm ranges. I added a number to the low. Haven't driven it yet so should be a riot when I do. Thanks again!
