so when you hook up your predator, what version does it boot up with (ie, what predator version do you have?). Anything before 8r10 wont work on the 07 2500 HD. When it says you need an update, it should tell you the CAL IDs you have, what are they?
Anyway, I have an 07 2500 HD 6.0 crew cab, and my predator works with version 8r10, Im kinda scared to run any 9rxx, but you may have to depending on what hardware rev your 7194 is.

DON'T update to 9rxx if you haven't already! I've left mine at 8r10 with absolutely no issues. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
However, if it came with 9rxx, you can't run any older rev's, so you'll have to wait for an update.

i originally used the 8r10 until i these problems started with the gm dealer updating my software. i udated ti the 9r03 and still no luck. the os cal id is 12622161. alextzi what are you getting for fuel econ, is it a new body style 07. this is definately the most doggish truck ive ever owned, struggles to tow my 5000 lb camper, my envoy got the job done better

What do you have for gears in you truck? I have NO trouble pulling trailer and ATV in the truck (about 7000lbs) I have 4.10 gears.

If it came w/8r10, I'd download that & reinstall it.

3.73 gears, i tried reinstalling 8r10. no good same thing. if i wanted to go 70 mph w trailer, rpm at almost 4000 if truck shifts to next gear i start losing speed... my envoy 70 mph 3000 rpm steady no problem,

T/H mode didn't keep it in gear longer? I thought it was supposed to change shift points so that didn't happen? You are using T/H mode, right?

I use T/H in stop and go, but on the highway I don't use it. Are you pulling in D or 3? You should use 3, it will keep tranny temps down. 70 mph is pretty fast towing, hurts stopping distance, harder to control and kills mileage. I tow at 55 mainly and its worth 2 mpg over towing at 65.

i am usinf t/h. i tow in D but i have a 2500 with a 6 speed auto. my envoy got 10mpg towing at 70. this truck gets 6mpg towing the same camper. dealer says nothing wrong with it, i would sell it if i didnt have to plow with it
