1998 GT question

Post by Gillerroma »

I recently purchased a 98 GT that has 4.10 gears. Can I use my I3 to change the gear ratio in the computer like the old SCT used to be able to?

Thanks

No, 98s dont use an electronic speedo, so it cant be done through the tune, gotta do the speedo driven gear swap to correct the speedo on pre 99 cars.

Hmmm. I kind of thought that. But was informed by LMR.com that an SCT X1,X2,X3 that has not been updated could correct the issue. Hence my question. Oh well, thanks for getting back to me on it Mike.

thanks

tat would be really interesting to me, not sure how that would work or why it wouldn't work if the device had been updated?
Maybe someone was confused or thinking of something else ;)
