An unexpected error has occurred message

Post by Dtibbetts12 »

so I had an ignition coil wipe out my ECM, restored back to factory and swapped out a new ECM and now I'm getting an error message "an unexpected error has occurred. please wait while a failure log is created" I hit ok and the tuner freezes.

I've attached the info file, any help would be appreciated.

Update with a little more information: after I unmarried the tuner, I ran an update as well as replaced the faulty ecm, that's when the issues started. I have 3 ECM's that are programed for the truck, the one that I had the coil issue with and two additional units that all have the same issue with the tuner. after the update I am unable to load the tuning or gauges screen they both error out with that same message and an error log is never created.

Yes the two other units are good, installed and the truck was driven prior to attempting to use the tuner. This appears to be the same software update issue that another user was having a few posts before mine. Any way to roll back the update?

I sent a tech support email on Sunday, after not receiving anything Monday I called in today and was advised to update the tuner again. I was at work and not able to update at that time, unfortunately I don't get out of work until after tech support is closed. I updated when I got home from work and the issues have not changed... still wondering if there is a way to roll back updates to get this working again
