Tuning Issue

Post by mc.keefner »

Hey all!
I have a DS T2 that I purchased as a bundle with an ECU for a 2015 Grand Cherokee 5.7. I am going to sell my 2015 so I unmarried the tuner and returned to stock. I have a 2014 Jeep SRT and when I went to tune it (after I plugged it in, it told me to update it. So I did until it was at the current software release) it gave me an error stating "Press continue to begin restoring your vehicles factory data...etc" so I exited out. Should I restore it or how do I get it to not prompt that message so I can tune as normal?

This SRT is new to me and I got it at a dealer and I do not believe it is tuned. MDS is on and the shift points seem to be stock. What do I need to do or is there a way if I can find out if a tune was/is written to it? I looked at the vehicle info in the T2 and it states calibration ID as 05035871AI and TCM calibration as 52108920AF.

Thank you!

I think I figured out my issue. The 2015+ T2s will not tune a 2014. They are different. I looked up the part numbers. Can anyone confirm this is caused by the error I am seeing?

T2 is a T2, it should work on any year.

Its still married to the 16, so either return the 15 to stock or add a license for $149 to use the device on a 2nd vehicle.

Hm, really?

Ok let me investigate. I am sure I unmarried it. It is saying that one the tuner it is not locked to any vehicle.
This is the error I am getting when I hit the "tune" selection on the T2 with the new vehicle (14 SRT)

Do y'all have the stock files? If it is easiest just to send the stock ecu/tcm file so I can flash to stock. I think it is tuned from a previous tuner? That is my bet.
