Thats the front O2 sensor on the drivers side, may need to be replaced or has a damaged wire/harness.

You can turn off the rear sensors. The fronts are needed. They're used to determine how rich/lean the air fuel mixture is, and adjust the fuel injection accordingly.

what settings do i need to adjust to ensure that the engine warning light stays off? do i need to adjust the fuel rich / lean settings? if so can you advise on the settings? thanks Mike.

you can disable the rear O2 codes so you don't get the check engine light, but gotta remember that, in order for the code delete/disable to work, the rear O2 sensors must still be plugged into the wiring harness.
they don't have to be installed in the exhaust piping - you can tuck them up outta the way somewhere if ya want, but they have to be plugged into the wiring...
if they're not plugged in, you will still get codes thrown and the check engine light.

hi guys, just to let you know, i have taken out the o2 sensors from the pipes. i have cable tied them all up neatly out of the way. i then got other o2 sensors the same size, cut off the leads, placed them into each slot where the old ones came out. i then cleared the code with the predator and all seems fine. the light on the dash is out!! brilliant. thanks to all for the great advise. gregg

You know you didn't have to spend the money on O2 sensors to fill in the pipes. You could have just left the stockers there or picked up a pair of plugs for $3 each

yeah, could have just left them in there... hehe... oh well, least ya got it corrected.
now, just gotta make sure that the zip ties don't melt and they don't bang around or hit anything else metal so that they ground out, causing another light to come on... hehe...
you should wrap them with electrical tape so there's no chance of them/the wires coming in contact with anything else up there where you tucked 'em up outta the way.
or, just put 'em back in the pipe.
only reason I mentioned that they didn't have to be in the pipe was because when a lot of people do changes to their exhaust, they put in new pipe without the rear O2 bungs, so they still have to plug them into the wiring, but can just tuck them up outta the way. didn't realize you still had them in the pipe...
anyway...
glad to here our tips/advice got it fixed for ya man!!
