Hello Mike,
I received my diablo back from you guys after you troubleshot it and it is doing the exact same thing it did before I sent it back to you. The RMA# I sent it to you guys was 5050.
When I begin to program I can only download 12% of the stock program into the programmer and it freezes up. This is for a 2000 Camaro SS. What do I do do now? Should I take the car to a dealer and have it reflashed and make sure it doesn't have a program previously installed? I do not know if the car has ever been programmed before. I bought it with 35,000 miles and the owner I bought it from said it was bone stock and no mods at all were installed. (Allthough he was the 3rd owner of the car and he might not no the complete history of the car.) Help I am at a loss of what to do. I am putting my 3.90 gears in this weekend and my speedo is going to be WAY OFF.
I think I found my problem. I just bought the car so I am still learning it. My battery is bad. I just had it tested and I need a new one. It is the orginal oem battery and going on 8 years and has never been changed. I went to start it and it would not crank and I had to jump start it. Will a new battery help in the programming process? I am buying a new optima tomorrow. Thanks Jason

Yes, the battery is the problem!
As it states in the owners manual, voltage being available to the PCM while flashing is very important, and a weak battery will cause lots of problems in this situation.
Thanks

Still have problems programming with my U7198
Hello Mike,
After I called you again today 04/13/07 about programming my 2000 camaro SS it still does not work. Like I said when downloading my stock program into the programmer it freezes at 12% of the download.
I bought a new battery because mine was the orginal from 2000 and I needed a new one anyway. I also took the car to my local chevy dealer to make sure the stock program was flashed in the computer like you requested. It had the stock program, like I thought and the programmer still does not work. So for an additional $8 to ship it to you for the initial troubleshooting, $94 to confirm the stock program, I still do not have a programmer that will work.
I guess I need another RMA# to return it back to you for a new unit. Again another $8 in shipping out of my pocket and $110 more than the orginal cost of the unit. Please call me or email me for the RMA# thanks Jason. 303-833-5691 or email [email protected]
