shorty headers will my truck run too lean?

i have a 2003 chevy 2500hd 6.0 gas truck
im thinking of getting jba headers and have heard that if u use shorty headers with a hand held tuner you can run too lean is this true if so how much would i turn up my mixture with my 87 tune is it still running 14.7:1 ???

Should be close to stock because your shorty's have the same O2 sensors location as your stock manifolds.
My BBK's are a direct replacement for 02's and love them.
