I just did the upgrade on my vr7140, I had to wait until I got my custom Paxton Tune from my Tuner. It all went well after I used a different computer to do the update. I reinstalled my custom tune and all is well.
Now I attempted to test the last tune written download to my computer and here is what I found, it maybe perfectly Ok but it doesnt look right.
My Custom tune from my tuner is 961kb same as my stock back up file, when I click NO and download the last written tune the file is only 10.2 kb, thats a big difference to what my tuner sent me.
I'm a little afraid to try and do anything with this as if its incorrect it could cause a big problem with my car.
Can anyone verify that the last written download is correct. I am attaching the custom tune file that was downloaded as the last written tune.

RE: Possible issue with Download Software
This file is fine. It is smaller because it is compressed to contain only the changes specific to the custom tune.

Thanks John, I was thinking along those lines but wasnt sure.johnc wrote:This file is fine. It is smaller because it is compressed to contain only the changes specific to the custom tune.
One thing I would love to see in a future software upgrade would be a menu driven download that would allow you to download more than the last written tune. I had a couple of other tunes in the programmer that came from Paxton but lost them when I did the upgrade, its no problem as DezRacing made me a Great Cutom tune getting me an extra 40 rwhp over the paxton tune that came with the kit, but it would have been nice to download all the tunes without having to write each one to the car then downloading the last written each time.
I'm sure many other folks would also like to see this feature added.
BTW I love my Predator, I had an SCT X3 prior to the Supercharger install and hated it, it was much harder to use and had lots of glitches.
Thanks again ! and Keep up the good work and Great support !
