Tune File Issue?

Post by SRT4Skittle »

Alright so my srt4 neon is tuned with HP Tuners. I didn't get the HP Tuners device with the car when I bought it. I'm trying to have it retuned with a Diablosport Intune i3 but I don't have the stock tune file. Is there a way to get a stock tune file for a 2005 srt4 that I can use? Or how do I go about getting it retuned with the diablo? Any help is appreciated.

yes. what happens if you try to tune it with the i3 right now?
does it save the current backup or prompt to check for an update?

I havent tried yet. I did plug the i3 into the car to make sure it wasnt married to another VIN since i bought it used. Im not currently ready to retune yet as Im waiting on bigger injectors. I also updated it with my laptop

Also Mario at MI Tuning said to not try and save the file to the diablo as it will erase my current custom tune thats on the car. He told me to wait until i was ready to tune. My only thing is if i have a custom HP Tuners file on the car right now how will i provide an Original Backup file when Im prompted to do so?

we need to determine the answers to my questions first.

If it will sav whats there, nothing will be overwritten and you could keep a copy of that for Mario to see whats there currently if needed.
If you plug in and try to tune it and it says the vehicle needs an update, that means it is not going to save whats there and will overwrite the pcm with a tock file after updating and reloading to the vehicle.

If it does want to save whats there now, we can force it to update the pcm to a stock calibration at any point.
