DataViewer 3.0 will not see the u7191 on a laptop

I'm running Windows XP media edition on a HP laptop and I can not get it to see my U7191. What are the correct serial port settings in order for my laptop to see the device.
Any help would be great.

usually, COM1 and baud rate of 115,200....

If you are using a USB to serial adapter, you may be on COM 4,5 or 6. Access your Device manager and see what COM port it is assigned to and change it if necessary. Also, if using a USB, be sure to install the driver software that is included.
