Hard code stuck in memory

Post by Rezz »

I had a lifter fail on my 2011 ram 1500 5.7, I replaced the cam and lifters with a non mds cam and lifters and used the Diablo sport predator 2 to disable the mds with the 87 tune.

The truck runs fine, however when I took it into the shop for emissions I failed because a hard code from the lifter failure was still present in the PCM.

The truck has no check engine light and I have no idea how to clear this stored code. The predator 2 along with my old scan tool cannot see the code, but the states computer can see it.

Anybody have a solution to this problem?

The hard code is P1414 Cyl 4 Reactivation Control Performance, this code came up prior to the cam swap, and was due to the stuck lifter

Honestly not sure, never seen this before. Try a battery disconnect, drain voltage, reconnect and see if its still there?
